2021 Mercedes Benz S Class
The Mercedes Benz S class has been the halo car when it comes to luxury. Offering the most advanced and capable technology no sedan can offer and the new S class W223 model is no exception. This is the all new 7th generation S class and Mercedes have once done it again in what a true luxury sedan should look like. Starting by the looks it looks sportier than the W222 model and the rear end of the car is rather amusing as well to me it is one of the best luxury cars ever in the world when compared to its rivals such as the BMW 7 series, Audi A8 and including the Porsche Panamera as well.
The all new S class will come in a variety of different engine powertrains starting with the S350d and the most powerful engine at the moment the S580e. Two AMG models are yet to come but they are in the list both mentioned as the S63e and S73e both using PHEV power train engines. The PHEV models will also make its way to the Mercedes Benz engines such as hte S580e which will have a WLTP range of 62 miles. This is byfar the most offered range in electric only range only so you can enjoy emission free driving in built up areas.
The interior is no exception either. It is a big change compared to the previous S class where as not just the S class the new C class will have the same interior. The interior of the new S classs is like a private jet which makes BMW and Audi really worried. The esential equipment such as massaging seats, MBUX system and all other features are standard on the new s class but this time now offering with level 3 self driving technology so similar to a Tesla which therefore makes lives a whole lot easier especially useful when using the self driving technology for highway driving.
Unfortunally with all of these features in the new S class the price doesnt come cheap whereas opting for the cheapest S class model the S350d will set you back at £80,000 which is a lot for a smaller engine. The two AMG models will eventually cost in between £150,000 to £200,000 so it is a very expensive car to purchase. The new S class makes it almost £20,000 more than the BMW 7 series and the Audi A8 so you have to be seriously rich to afford the new S class.
