2020 Mercedes AMG E53 4matic+

New AMG E53 looks Aggressive 











Not so long ago Mercedes AMG has launched a new AMG engine plant which allows to enhance efficiency and performance at the same time which is to replace the AMG 43 series to the 53 series offering more power and torque for this model. The new AMG E53 is the facelifted version of the previous E class. Note there was an AMG E53 for W213 E class however the rear end could do with some improvement to make it more aggressive whereas this facelifted E class has done the Job not offering the aggressive looks but packed with technology. You can see the front of the new E class AMG that has been changed and now it looks a lot more aggressive than the W213 E class model But the question that most people ask for especially for this AMG is that is the 53 a real AMG? Normall people would perfer the AMG E63 which for the W213 E class was an absoulte hammer and was faster than the Porsche Panamera. To me I like the new E class AMG since the AMG E53 is eco friendly because the party peice of the E53 is inside the bonet. The AMG E53 is available in 3 different varients which this one is the sedan model of the AMG E53. You can also have it in an Estate model and for the first time in an E class coupe as well. Well I know you guys are thinking that is the new E class going to have a V8 engine well the answer is yes. Mercedes AMG has announced that an E63 version of the new E class is to come out but possibly end of the year but hears something to get excited about the new AMG E53 or should I say the sensible AMG. 

The engine for the AMG E53 is a 3.0 litre Bi-turbo Inline 6 engine which outputs 435HP and 520NM of torque. The AMG E53 also has an EQ boost system which is not the hybird you may imagine. With the E53 you cannot drive the new E class in electric power only since the EQ technology in this car provides you with extra boost of acceleration which therefore in mechanical terms the AMG E53 produces 425HP and the 10HP from the 48 Volt EQ Boost provides that extra 10HP to produce 435HP engine. Also, when driving economically you can cost in electric mode then which shuts of the engine without you noticing. Reversing in electric mode only. With this EQ boost hybrid you do not charge the batteries youself instead Kinetic energy, fast driving and rapid braking is therefore used to charge up the batteries. This shows of how AMG is ready for E-mobility since the 53 series is the first ever hybrid to be fitted into an AMG. Other models such as the GLE class will offer the 53 series as well with the same power plant fitted from the new E class AMG. Thanks to Mercedes AMG's 4matic+ system the car will accelerate to 60mph in 4.1 seconds and flat out it will hit 176mph which is very fast for a AMG Hybrid. The W213 AMG E63 is just 10mph slower than the new E class AMG. The new 4matic+ system by AMG allows 100% control in damp conditions around corners and allowing a quick acceleration timer to 60mph all thanks to a 9G AMG speefshift transmission which changes gears in a millisecond so your never short of power during gear changes. 

In the interior Mercedes has put the new technology on the new E class therefore featuring the MBUX system allowing the driver to talk to the car while driving without taking your hands off the steering wheel. The steering wheel is also changes looks a lot more aggressive than the old one and I like the new Haptic buttons on the steering wheel especially at night along with the Ambient lighting around the car makes it look like a space ship. The new Speedo looks like an F1 view so you can imagine that you are lewis hamailton when stepping into the new AMG E53. And since it is a 4 door sedan your family and friends can come and experience AMG POWER!!!! Another feature of the new AMG E53 is that it shares from the E63 by adding drift mode where on the W213 class the E53 wasnt available as drift mode which therefore made it boring to drive whereas the New AMG E53 has drift mode you can drift the new E class that too in a hybrid which should be interesting. Now you may wonder that if the new AMG E53 is going to be expensive well the answer is yes at £74,000 it is exactly the same price you would pay for the AMG E63 without the S model but the AMG E63 Non-S model doesnt have drift mode and only has 563HP rather than 605HP. Where the new AMG E53 should be a amazing car to drive once it comes out which I think it should come out either April 2020 or May 2020.

Mercedes AMG GLA45 4matic+

Most powerful Compact SUV hits the Road

 











If you really want a fast and powerful Mercedes SUV you'd be better off with the AMG GLE63 but considering the price it is quite expensive. Not to worry because Mercedes AMG has now announced a car which you all are familiar off the GLA class. Unveiled in 2014 the GLA class became the fastest SUV with the smallest engine fitted since using the same powerplant on the A class and CLA class and now the GLA. Known as the A class of SUV's the GLA is like a normal SUV but is smaller than most SUV's so it is easier to go around town, easier to park and easier to afford. Mercedes AMG know how to put AMG performance onto an compact SUV and it looks aggressive even standing still with the rear spolier, the twin exhaust tailpipes and the aggressive front end it all looks mean especially in the grey paint colour. I pretty like the new AMG GLA45 because it looks smaller than the previous one even though it is exactly the same size though this is the AMG SUV you can actually afford but should you buy one? 

Well the engine powerplant is from the A class AMG a 2.0 litre Turbochagred B4 engine which developing 425HP therefore making it the most powerful 2.0 litre turbocharged engine ever fitted to a car which mercedes have been doing this very well since when the GLA45 AMG came out in 2014 it produced 362HP back then it too was the most powerful 2.0 litre engine. Two years on the facelifted models provided an extra 24HP and now with over 400HP for the new GLA AMG Mercedes have finally cracked it on how a powerful SUV should be like with a smaller engine to balance economy as well since using 9.1 litres for every 100km which is pretty good getting the non S model can set you to use 9.3 for every 100km so very economical even for an SUV with 425HP. As AMG models are getting smaller the 45 series shows a new way to AMG showing that even squeezing the smallest engine can make a car go fast and the 45 series introduced back in 2014 has cracked the code which on a drag race the AMG 45 series will batter all of its rivals thanks to the power. 

Thanks tot he 4MATIC+ drive system the AMG GLA45s is able to sprint to 60mph in under 4 seconds which is supercar quick and flat out if you remove the limit will hit 175mph which is very fast for a compact SUV with a 2.0 litre engine and it will get there faster thanks to the AMG's new 8G AMG speedshift transmission which changes gears in a split second so you are never short of power in between gear changes. No car can ever fit a 2.0 litre engine like Mercedes AMG can do with the A class, GLA class and CLA class but it is affordable but prices stand to not to your needs. This car is around £56,000 which is a lot for a compact SUV but taking it to the other AMG SUV's it is therefore still affordable so you can still get your hands on this car but £56,000 for an AMG GLA45s is quite expensive than you think. The GLA also has Another AMG model known as the GLA35 which should cost around £10,000 less than the 45 series which therfore is at a much better price but top speed is 155mph and power has been shredded to 306HP and 0-60mph is now in 4.7 seconds and you only get a 7 speed AMG speedshift transmission. So the question was should you buy the New GLA45s AMG and the answer is only if you have £56,000 then yes if not the GLA35 AMG would do you good.

This year Brabus has put all the modifications onto the Mercedes Benz EQC the 5 seater luxury electric SUV crossover in ticking all the relevant boxes on how a Brabus should be. This particular version is the 1886 eddition so inside you can see the 1886 stiching on the seats since thats where Mercedes Benz started back then. It is suprising to see an electric car being all juiced up by Brabus as we know TESLA unplugged also tunes Tesla cars but does not interfere with the engine whereas Brabus does play around with the engine to ehnance power and torque which they have done successfully but not too much since it is electric and to prevent the batteries from over heating though. The Brabus EQC is a normal Mercedes EQC which you can use it on a daily basis since it has seating for 5 people, a big boot to fit many things and all the latest Mercedes Benz technology to make everyday driving much more sophisticated. 

Brabus has also played around with the engine where this car used to develop 406HP from an 80kw battery pack which Brabus increased the power to 422HP which is not a huge difference however torque figuration has taken a leep since measuring 760NM before now it measures 830NM of torque with the Brabus Powerxtra kit insallted onto the Brabus EQC. Which therefore this car is now measuring the same power as a standard BMW M4 but with 5 seats and so much space in the boot 422HP for a electric Mercedes SUV is quite powerful. 

With that powerxtra kit installed onto the Brabus EQC the spring to 60mph has been improved since the stock EQC would get to 60mph in 5.1 seconds and now with the Brabus kit now stands at 4.8 seconds to 60mph even though it isnt a huge drop but there is a change. Whats not changed is the top speed since it is only an 80KW battery back Brabus couldnt change this since it was from Mercedes EQ so the size of the battery had to remain the same size which therefore the top speed doesnt play any effect what so ever as it will still limit at 118mph which is fairly slow but you'd get their quicker with the improved 0-60mph time. 

The Brabus EQC isnt a very cheap car to afford well all Brabus cars arent Cheap. Taking the Mercedes Benz EQC will set you back at £78,000 which is quite a lot for an electric SUV taking Tesla Model X at £50,000 which is faster than the EQC. However the Brabus EQC stands at a price of £110,000 which for an electric car is quite expensive especially with an 80KW battery pack and a range of 280miles it isnt that worthy of being a true electric car and with a lower top speed it wont batter all sports cars. Whats on the bright side is that the Brabus is still going to get the latest technology from MBUX so you can talk to the car while driving so you dont have to take your hands off the wheel. Ambient lighting a range of 64 colours to choose from and various saftey features to protect yourself from any impacts.

Mercedes AMG Project ONE

AMG's G1 Racer Ready For The Road



Have you ever wondered if formula 1 was unleashed onto the streets as a road car? Well Mercedes AMG have thoughout of that idea by using the F1 technology they have in their formula 1 cars and use it to form a road car. This is the Mercedes AMG Project ONE, Mercedes first hypercar ever built and is ready to take on its other rivals the Mclaren P1, Ferrari la ferrari and the Porsche 918. The AMG project ONE has an engine ejected out from an formula 1 car which therefore yes you can drive an F1 car on the streets but with a windscreen ofcourse and lights. Not just the F1 DNA lying in the AMG project ONE this is also a hybird form Mercedes battery power plant the EQ family which used EQ performance to enhance efficiency on the streets for the very first time ever. In terms of the looks I personally think that it looks angry which all AMG models are as they have the DNA of making Mercedes AMG cars angry with Shouting V8's and V12's. But today we live in economy crises situations where V8's and V12's are no of use. Mercedes planned to discontiune the V12 amg in 2020 and the V8's I think around 2-3 years however that wont effect the AMG's DNA where this cars F1 engine has a secret weapon.


This is what it looks like when you take off the Mercedes AMG jacket where underneath you find the true party peice of what is powering this monstrous animal. Like I said the AMG project ONE has an engine directly off from an F1 car with a EQ hybrid system. It is a small 1.6 litre engine Turbo charged V6 engine which may not seem as a true recepie for an AMG well a hypercar with a 1.6 Litre engine is a bit odd consdiering its rivals from Mclarens V8 and Ferraris V12. However, the tiny 1.6 litre engine is plently to develop over 1,000HP which is more than a Bugatti veyron and most other hypercars there are. This will allow the car to accelerate from 0-60mph in F1 level as the time of the 0-60mph is not clarified but what I can tell you is that the car will accelerate from 0-200kmh same as a golf goes from 0-60mph. Mercedes say that the AMG project ONE will plough its way up to 350kmh (220mph).The AMG Project ONE has an EQ power+ hybrid system consisting of 4 electric motors, two of the motors drive the front wheels of the car, one motor is placed onto the combustion engine linked to the crankcase and the last motor is integrated with the turbocharger. Mercedes say that the project one will achieve 25KM in electric power alone. 


The inteior of the Mercedes AMG Project one is like a spaceship and simple at the same time, just two screens, air vents etc. and a Proper AMG F1 steering wheel to make you feel an true F1 driver on the road. The two screen displaying information the first screen with all of your information on speed, rev counter and shift lights and the second screen for infotainment purposes and you sit so low to the ground due to the batteries which are mounted on the floor of the AMG project one. The Mercedes AMG Project ONE is a fantasic hypercar however before you start getting the check there are 1 or 2 drawbacks. Frist, it isnt a cheap car to buy, where the AMG project ONE is set to cost around £2.4 million. Thats more than the Porsche 918 and thanks to the bateries the car is lowered onto the ground whcih will be stressy when going over speedhumps. And you cannot see anything from behind so you have to wait until you've crashed when reversing out from a car park but honestly speaking I think it is the greatest hypercar every built. Long live AMG but only if we get our hands to one.

The Mercedes Benz G Class is the best SUV to date why? Because it is so capable of offroading that it will destory its other rivals the Range Rover, Jeep Rubicon etc. The G wagon is known as the top luxury SUV Money can buy. Brabus on the other hand has moved on which transforming a normal Mercedes AMG G63 to something that could be a true Icon of a car. This is the Brabus 800 XLP adventure which is a G63 but on steriods. This machine makes offroading an absoulte beast where it looks like the 6x6 Mercedes however its running on 4 wheels rather than 6. Brabus have been a true part in Mercedes where always tuning up Mercedes AMG even Mercedes Benz cars to give maximum comfort and performance but these cars do not come cheap to afford especially the older models. Well to be honest I really dont know the exact price of this Brabus G wagon but I can confirm that it will be around £700,000. Thats a lot in-fact thats more than the G63 AMG and most Rolls royces. 



The Brabuses party peice is the engine. Where they used the AMG G63 engine and put the most craizest parts they can onto a G wagon. the 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 stays the same however power climbs up to 800HP which is more than an aventador. Brabus claims the G wagon can sprint to 60 in 4.8 seconds and flat out since it is a heavy car it will hit the limiter at 130mph compared to that is slower than the AMG G63 as that can plough at 150mph. So you are in really a bit of shock when it comes to top speed but this is a G wagon which G wagons do not bother about top speed where the true name of a G wagon is when it comes to off roading. 

Whats changes between the AMG G63 and the Brabus 800 is the ride height. New suspensions have been added to all 4 wheels of the car therefore giving higher ground clearence which therefore allows better offroading capabilites whereas in G Class Mercedes shows true heart to off road this G wagon can climb up a steep slop at 100% gradient and thats superb. Even a Range rover cant do this well it may but I doubt it will. 


My most favourite of them all is the interior. Outside the car looks like a mean offroader with the bamboo caged roll bars, the agressive body but inside you are massaged with comfort with massage seats. Ambient lightings, Heated and ventilated leather seats and an AMG performance steering wheel. I personally, think that the G wagon do their interior like a boss and when I see them it just looks amazing out there especially the rumble of the V8 engine.

You may be wondering that Brabus is a tuning company that tunes Mercedes V12's and turn it into one of a kind. However, V8's are being phased out soon which is why brabus should take a different approach. Brabus is working with Mercedes Benz to alter performance yet luxury for the driver and this Brabus D40 is one of them. The Brabus D40 is the Mercedes Benz CLS400d which sits beneath the CLS450. 

Well the brabus is boosted by the powerxtra D40 which is the speific type of kit for the CLS400d which in stock develops 340HP from a 3.0 litre twin turbo V6 diesel but now with the D40 kit the power has been risen by 40HP which now developes 380HP and measuring 760NM. Brabus claims that the car will plough to 60 in a mear 4.8 seconds and flat out it will hit the limiter at 155mph. 

The Brabus also comes with an Airmatic sports unit suspension allowing the driver to make the ride height as low as possible which with the airmatic sports suspension installed the driver can lower the car up to 20mm however that is only specificed for the D40 upgraded from the CLS400d. And since its airmatic the ride is therefore smooth as you wouldnt notice that you've gone over a speed hump. 

As all Mercedes interiors it feels like a first class airline but with a steering wheel and pedals which brabus has interfered suc has brabus aluminum pedlas. Brabus door sills and heated and ventilated leather seats for all 4 passengers. 

This is a car that you can use on a daily basis since it has four doors, a boot enough to fit your weekly shopping and all the latest technology in the car to help you with your everyday needs so it feels like a normal Mercedes Benz but once you open the taps in this thats where the brabus starts to kick in but it is a diesel which therefore will be good for fuel economy. Whats not pleasing is the price where brabus cars do not come cheap and they never will so if you have the money then you can buy one because the Brabus D40 is around £150,000 which is a lot of money for a car.

You have may already seen this which is the GT class. Became the new family member last year the GT class was the new rival to the Porsche Panamera. Mercedes AMG have been notifying a Hybrid version of the GT class to come out possibly next year in 2021. Recently, it was spied in a charging station which I know that the new GT hybrid will rival the Panamera Hybrid as well. This will be known as the new 73 series the AMG GT73 which thinking that Mercedes would have a V12 engine but due to economy issues that is not going to happen. 

Instead the AMG GT73 is going to use the same 4.0 litre Twin turbo V8 they use in the GT63 Models which was mentioned that the car would produce over 800HP. 800HP for an AMG saloon now there is enough power to even get from 0-60mph however that has not been confirmed just yet but will be confirmed soon and the top speed has not bee confirmed but I perosnally think that the GT73 should plough over 200mph. 

Along with the V8 combustion engine there is a hybrid electric motor by EQ Power+ which therefore the car can now be driven on electric power along as well. Mercedes has not confirmed the total range in Electric mode but I suggest it wont be many as I can estimate around 25 miles of pure electric driving but thats enough for your morning commute to work. 

The price has not been listed as well but since this is the powerful version it will be more expensive than the GT63s which doesnt seen pleasing however this car shows a new approach to AMG as AMG engines are getting smaller such as the 53 series are being introduced onto a variety of cars with a EQ boost technology to enhance efficiency when driving. Mercedes AMG GLE63 4Matic+ Coupe

The new GLE was introduced back in 2016 in replacing the ML class. The GLE also made a coupe styled SUV for better aerodynamics due to the loss of practicality in the rear corner but still packs a huge amount of space in the rear. The new AMG GLE63s 4matic+ Coupe has been refreshed out from the previous GLE. It uses race car technology by AMG into an SUV seating 5 people. What Mercedes say about the new GLE is the true rival to the BMW X6 and the Audi RSQ8. 

The new AMG GLE63s wil come with the same 4.0-litre Bi-turbo V8 engine as AMG use in their cars today with the new 4matic+ system to provide grip in damp conditions and with a 603HP engine its more powerful than the previous GLE63 AMG. The new AMG GLE63s also used technology from the 53 series which a 48 volt EQ boost system is used for outstanding efficiency so you can glide along in electric mode only without using the internal combustion engine. The new AMG GLE63 s features a new 9 speed AMG speedshift transmission which changes gear in a millisecond faster than blinking and changing down faster as well which there is no sort of delay happening so you wont feel the loss of power when changing gears. 

 AMG's new 4matic+ system allows better grip around the corners especially in damp conditions where you wont have to worry if you are approaching a corner at a bend because the 4matic+ will keep you glued onto the road. The S model also features Drift mode which mercedes use in the AMG E63 and GT63 and upcoming E53 as well which allows to put the car in 2 wheel drive mode for instant powersliding. Thats what AMG is about. 

Mercedes has confirmed that the new AMG GLE63s 4matic+ will be relaeased this year with a starting price tag of £120,000 which to be honest is quite expensive than the SUV GLE63 AMG however within my opinion I think that the new GLE class looks neat than the old one since it looks much more aggressive than the old one and the GLE is also known as the E class of SUV's.




Mercedes AMG GLB35

Small G Wagon But At An Affordable Price.













The Mercedes G class is one of the best SUV for offroading but when you consider the price You wont get one. The cheapest G class 2020 is aorund £97,000 which is a lot for a car and taking this to the AMG G63 almost £170,000. Not to worry Mercedes AMG has unveiled a new car member to the AMG family which is the GLB class known as the small G Class for reasonable money. This model is the AMG GLB35 which therefore makes a compact SUV much more sporty and it looks cool within my opinion from front to back. The G class only comes with 5 seats whereas the AMG GLB35 comes with 7 seats so you can your entire family on a road trip with 7 people on board. 

The engine powerplant is from the same power train that Mercedes use in the AMG A35 and CLA35 which a 2.0 litre twin turbo B4 engine developing 306HP. Well this is a new entry level AMG based on the Mercedes Benz 250 Models for the A, CLA and GLB class as well. So there a smaller engine means a good fuel economy where the G class is a great car but is worse for economy whereas the 2.0 litre engine wont take in too much fuel so you wont have to fill up every 500 yards. 

The Mercedes AMG GLB35 is also quick when it comes to acceleration where it can hit 60mph in 5.2 seconds, slower than the G class AMG but flat out it will achieve 155mph compared to the AMG G63 150mph so you are faster than the G class in an AMG GLB35 and it is actually easy to park since this is a small SUV. 

The interior is like a spaceship with vaiours interior lighting choices your never far off from the G class because the GLB is like a G class but much more sensible and it has latest MBUX system so you can talk to the car while driving. Can you do this in a G class? Well not now but you will in the future. Finally, coming to the price where the GLB costs only £42,000.
